Samsung has been on a roll lately to populate the market with devices
of every size and the Galaxy Mega range continues that trend. If you
thought the 5.5-inch Galaxy Note 2 was as big as it gets, then you need to take a look at the new 6.3-inch Mega model.
Upside
If you liked the design of the S4,
the Galaxy Mega is a supersized version of it. The large 6.3-inch
display looks good with its vibrant colors, and while heavy, it feels
quite solid in the hands.

Both the 5.8- and 6.3-inch Megas come with Android 4.2
(Jelly Bean ), which means you get an improved notification drop-down
menu, as well as Samsung's own tweaks such as the better organized
Settings app.

While it's running on a dual-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 1.7GHz
processor, I found performance to be pretty snappy, and there seemed to
be no shutter lag when taking pictures with the 8-megapixel rear camera.
The camera app uses the same UI found on the S4, which gives you much
of the same feature modes.
Downside
A Jedi Master once said, "size matters not", and I mostly agree. The
Galaxy Note 2 was large, but could still be comfortably used in one
hand. However, the Mega's 6.3-inch frame just makes it too bulky and
unweildy.
Another factor is the cost of S$798, which is a price
that approaches high-end territory. But with decidedly midrange specs,
you'll realize that the Mega 6.3 is a tad too pricey for its own good.
